Missy Hawes

Missy, a native of Louisville, graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997. While obtaining her degree, she was a member of the University of Louisville field hockey team and captain her senior year. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Spalding University in 2001.

Missy's nursing career as an RN began at Jewish Hospital on the heart and lung unit. She had further experiences at Norton Suburban Hospital (Transitional Care Unit) and with homebound patients while working for Medshares Home Health Agency. Her pediatric clinical requirements for her nurse practitioner were completed at All Children Pediatrics. She accepted a position in the Fall of 2001 with All Children Pediatrics.

Shortly after the birth of her first son, Missy developed a special interest in breastfeeding. She has pursued this interest and through further extensive education is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Missy is married to Steve, an Eastern High School teacher. They stay very active raising their two sons.
