The CDC is still recommending everyone be vaccinated for the flu this year. Please call our office to have you or your children vaccinated.
The H1N1 flu vaccine has been incorporated in the the flu vaccine - YOU DO NOT NEED A SEPARATE VACCINATION FOR H1N1 THIS YEAR!
SEASONAL FLU VACCINE UPDATE (09/27/2011):
Here we are, Fall of 2011 and facing another "flu season". The CDC recommends that everyone receive the flu vaccine this year, not just high risk individuals. There is no shortage this year so anyone who wants or needs the vaccine should be able to get it. We have received most of our vaccine and are scheduling now for flu vaccinations. We are scheduling vaccinations every day!
ANTIVIRALS:
We are receiving many phone calls from concerned parents inquiring about the antivirals, like Tamiflu, for their children. Again, we are following the guidance of the CDC in our prescribing decisions. To insure that the effectiveness of antivirals remain an option when indicated prescribing patterns need to be carefully evaluated.
