Information and resources regarding the mask requirements for children in schools and daycare (8/12/2021):
We have received a lot phone calls regarding notes for children to not have to wear masks in school or daycare. As healthcare professionals we are committed to keeping children healthy.
Recently, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the state government have advised children 2 years of age and over to wear a face mask that covers the mouth and nose while indoors, especially when appropriate physical distancing cannot be maintained. Face masks are an important tool proven to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Many children are able to effectively wear a mask with practice and role-modeling by adults. At this time, the physicians and staff at All Children Pediatrics may not be able to issue a note of exemption.
Please see the links below to see if your child may be an exception. If they do not fit the criteria we cannot issue a note for exemption. The Governor of Kentucky's order is specific as to what exceptions may be made.
If you feel your child falls into the categories listed please call our office to make an appointment to be evaluated for a qualifying medical condition. (Please copy and past the links below into your preferred browser)
